Ben Harney (1896)

Benjamin Robertson "Ben" Harney (6 Mart 1872 - 2 Mart 1938), Amerikan şarkı yazarı, şovmen ve Ragtime piyanisti. Harney'in 1996 yılında "You've Been a Good Old Wagon but You Done Broke Down" bestesini oluşturarak Ragtime müzik türünün popülerleşmesinde önemli katkılarda bulunmuştur.[1] 1924 yılında The New York Times gazetesi Harney hakkında ''Muhtemelen kimse Ragtime'ı onun kadar popülerleştiren başka kimse yok'' demiştir ve 1938 yılında Time Magazine onu ''Ragtime'ın babası'' olarak adlandırmıştır.
