Alfred Freddie Highmore, (d. 14 Şubat 1992, Londra, İngiltere) İngiliz oyuncu.

Hayatı

Highmore eğlence sektörünün içinde olan bir ailenin çocuğu olarak Londra'da doğdu. Annesi Sue Latimer, Daniel Radcliffe ve Imelda Staunton gibi oyuncuları içeren müşterilere sahip bir yetenek avcısı ve babası Edward Highmore bir aktördü. 1995 doğumlu Albert ("Bertie") adında bir kardeşi vardır. Highmore Kuzey Londra'nın bir banliyösü olan Highgate'de oturmaktadır.

Kariyeri

Highmore 7 yaşında televizyonda küçük roller ile işe başladı. İki filmde Highmore kendi ailesinin üyeleri ile oynadı. Kardeşi Bertie, Women Talking Dirty filminde kardeşini oynadı. Ayrıca babası Edward Jack, Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story filminde babasını oynadı.

2004 yılında Finding Neverland filminde sorunlu Peter Llewelyn Davies performansıyla büyük övgü aldı ve bu kariyerinde önemli bir adım oldu. Highmore bu rolü sebebiyle Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards ve Screen Actors Guild Awards adaylığı dahil olmak üzere birçok ödüle aday gösterildi ve ödül sahibi oldu. 2005 yılında Charlie ve Çikolata Fabrikası filminde (Roald Dahl'ın kitabından uyarlama) Charlie Bucket rolünü üstlendi.Finding Neverland'de yıldızı parlayan genç aktörün performansından oldukça etkilenen Johnny Depp bu filmdeki rol için Highmore'u önerdi.

Highmore daha sonra August Rush filminde ana karakter olarak Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers ve Robin Williams ile birlikte ortaya çıktı. Film doğumunda ayrılmış ebeveynlerini bulma macerasını ve müzikal dehasını işlemektedir. Ayrıca ABD'de Şubat 2008'de yayımlanan ve popüler çocuk hikayelerine dayanan The Spiderwick Chronicles 'da oynamıştır.

İki bölüm olarak planlanan Arthur and the Invisibles filminde hem oyunculuk hem de seslendirme yapmıştır. Highmore, The Golden Compass ve A Fox's Tale filmlerinde de seslendirme yapmış, Astro Boy da başrolü seslendirmiştir.
