Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen (d. 22 Kasım 1976), sahne adıyla Laidback Luke, Filipinli-Hollandalı DJ ve prodüktör. 2008 de DJ Mag dergisinin yaptığı Top 100DJs oylamasında 46.sırada yer aldı, 2009 da 27 ve 2010 da 17. sıraya yükseldi.[1][1]
Kariyeri
Laidback Luke Hollanda'da büyüdü ve ismi daha önceden hobi olarak yaptığı graffitilerde kullandığı lakaptir. David Guetta, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Example ve Junior Sanchez gibi önemli isimlerle çalıştı ve bu sayede Avrupa,Kuzey Amerika,Japonya ve Ibiza da çalma fırsatı buldu.[2] Şu ana kadar 4 stüdyo albümü çıkardı bunlar : Psyched Up (1998), Electronic Satisfaction (2002), Cream Ibiza (2013) mix albümü, Super You & Me (2011) , Windmill Skill (2003) ve Focus (2015). 2003 de, van Scheppingen, Daft Punk şarkısı olan "Crescendolls" 'a remix yaptı ve bu onların remix albümüne eklendi.Luke kendi remix albümü olanIbiza Closing Party ide bu yılda çıkardı ve bunu ücretsiz olarak dağıttı. Laidback Luke 2012 de 27. Dans Müzik Ödülleri tarafından en iyi Avrupalı DJ ödülüne layık görüldü.Ayrıca karısı DJ Gina Turner ile kurduğu Nouveau Yorican grubunun üyesi.
Kişisel Yaşamı
İlk evliliğinden sonra ikinci evliliğini 1 Kasım 2012 de DJ Gina Turner ile The Wiew,Piermont,New York ta yaptı.
Laidback Luke ayrıca Kung Fu pratikleri yapıyor (Özellikle Choy Li Fut) ve Çinde düzenlenen 2013 Dünya Kung Fu Şampiyonasında üyesi olduğu Hollanda Kung Fu Takımı (4 Erkek) ile 23 Altın ve 5 Gümüş madalya kazanmıştır.
