Streptomyces venezuelae

Streptomyces venezuelae streptomyces cinsinden gram pozitif bir bakteridir. Streptomyces cinsi toprakta bulunur[1] ve ilaç endüstrisinde önemli yer tutar. Sporlu, gram pozitif boyama gösterir. Flamentöz yapıdadır. İlk antibiyotiklerden biri olan Kloramfenikol bu bakteriden elde edilmiştir, ancak daha sonra sentetik olarak da üretilmiştir.
