Yorkshire

Yorkshire, (telaffuzu /ˈjɔrkʃər/) kuzey İngiltere'deki tarihi bir ilçedir. Birleşik Krallığın en büyük yerleşim yeridir[1]. Değişiklikler boyunca Yorkshire bir coğrafi bölge ve kültürel bölge olarak kabul edilmeye devam etmiştir.

Yorkshire tarihi ilçesi sınırları içinde İngiltere'de yeşil sayılan, Yorkshire Dales ve North York Moors adlı bozulmamış kırsal alanlar uzanır.[2][3]

Yorkshire'nin eski dönemdeki sahipleri Keltler ve iki ayrı kabile şeklinde oluşmuş Briganteler ve Parisiiler'di.[4]
