Siamanto

Adom Yârcanyan

Siamanto veya Adom Yârcanyan (Ermenice: Ատոմ Եարճանեան, 1878 - 1915) Osmanlı Ermenisi şair ve yazar. Ermeni Kırımı sırasında tutuklanıp ve işkence görerek öldürüldü.[1][2][3][4][5]

1. Ağustos 1878 tarihinde Eğin (bugünkü Kemaliye) kasabasında dünyaya geldi. Nersisyan okulunda okudu ve 1891'de Kostantiniyye (bugünkü İstanbul)'ye yerleşti. Oradaki Berberyan Enstütüsünde okudu. 1896 senesinde mezun oldu. Hamidiye katliamları zamanlarda Mısır'a gitti ve orada, Anadolu'da yaşayan arkadaşlarının öldürülmelerinden dolayı depresiflik ile hastalandı. 1897'de Paris'e gitti ve Sorbonne Üniversitesi'nde edebiyat okudu. Fransa'dan Cenevre'ye gitti ve Troşag gazetesi için yazdı. 1904 zatürre ile hatalandı. Zürih'e gitti ve 1908 senesinde Kostantiniyye'ye geri döndü. 1909 senesinde Ermenilere yapılan Adana katliamı'ndan dolayı Arkadaşımın kanlı tarihi (Կարմիր լուրեր Բարեկամէս) adlı eser yazdı. 1910 senesinde ilk önce Amerikaya yerleşti ve sonra 1913'te Tiflis'e gitti. Hor Virap kilise'yi ziyaret etti.

1915'te Ermeni soykırımı zamanında öldürüldü.
